February 2007 The Neon Man and Me becomes a nationally
distributed PBS special.
January 2007 The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts funds a special
playwrighting residency with Slash Coleman through its teen
education program.
October 2006 The Virginia Commission for the Arts funds two
playwrighting residencies, placing Slash Coleman in inner-city
high school classrooms to teach his curriculum entitled,"Healing
Communities."
September 2006 Style Weekly awards Slash Coleman its
prestigious “Top 40 under 40” award for his contributions to the
Richmond community.
September 2006 The San Francisco Theater Fringe Festival
selects The Neon Man and Me as one of a ten international acts
to appear.
August 2006 The production receives national press with a
feature in Backstage Magazine.
April 2006 NPR airs its second interview with the playwright as he
discusses his success.
March 2006 Slashtipher Coleman raises over $18,000 for
Virginia non-profits with his production.
