Early one morning in 1997, I woke up in what I would define as a sweat-filled, freak-out moment and realized I
wanted to do something radically different with my life. The next day, I quit my job at Noah's Bagels in Portland,
OR and decided to make my living as a painter.
Though I had grown up in my father's art studio, I had never taken an art class in my life. I knew I loved to draw
and I loved the feeling that I associated with the expressions I created on paper, but I also grew up with the
darker sides of my father's art demons. Mostly, I associated trying to "make it" as an artist with my father's
alcoholism. .

With little savings and no body of work, I began selling a meager collection of "healing
artwork" at the Portland Saturday Market. A year later, I found myself prospering as an
artist and selling my prints internationally. After a few years, I decided I wanted to
refocus on creating more direct expressions....writing and performing. Make sure to
check out my positive Energy Art prints and see for yourself what's possible when you
focus your sight on manifesting your inner wishes.

joke. "A priest, a minister, and a rabbi walked into my studio after lunch one day and started looking
around,"he says,"I had no idea who in the hell they were, but I decided to spend some time with
them and the next thing I know my paintings were linked up with their Spiritual and Religious Life
program.
